NRL Round 19, Tips and Previews

Titans vs. Eels

July 16th

Home ground advantage for Gold Coast gives it a sniff of knocking off top four contender Parramatta.

It’s been a topsy turvy sort of a season for the Titans with inconsistent form being the story.

The Eels, meanwhile, have surged towards the top four again and will be looking to hold its spot inside the double chance slots heading towards August.

SUGGESTED BET:

Parrmatta Eels -4.5 @ $1.90

Sea Eagles vs. Dragons

July 16th

The Sea Eagles will be waiting on the selection of Tom Trbojevic after the star fullback played origin on Wednesday night.

The key to Manly’s chances do not just rest solely on his availability given the brilliant point-scoring form of his partner in crime Rueben Garrick.

St George need to win this match in order to stave of the chasers of that final spot inside the eight.

The line looks to be overstated here given St George handed Manly defeat earlier this season.

SUGGESTED BET:

Dragons +14.5 at $1.90

Raiders vs. Sharks

July 17th

It seems too little too late for Canberra when it takes on Cronulla this weekend.

The Raiders put in a season best effort to knock off Manly last week and somehow keep its season alive.

Cronulla also tasted victory too, but the Raiders should have a spring the step given they have 12-10 win under their belt against the Sharks this season.

Going to play it safe and back Canberra at the line. The Raiders have just been too untrustworthy from a head to head perspective this season.

SUGGESTED BET:

Raiders +3.5 at $1.87

Cowboys vs. Roosters

July 17th

The racing hearts of Sydney are at ease now following a gritty 22-16 against wooden spoon bound Canterbury.

It was a heart in mouth game for the Roosters but as good teams do, they won ugly.

North Queensland was on the receiving end of a 28-point hiding against South Sydney and the form just looks nowhere near good enough to challenge Trent Robinson’s squad.

SUGGESTED BET:

Roosters -8.5 at $1.89

Storm vs. Knights

July 17th

A 14-game undefeated run is on offer for premiership favourite Melbourne if it can overcome an in-form Newcastle.

The Storm made it 13 wins in a row before its bye with a 46-0 annihilation of Sydney as Josh Addo-Carr went bonkers with a hat-trick of tries.

Newcastle, meanwhile, kept North Queensland scoreless as it romped to a 38-0 win.

The Knights seem to be going well enough to be able to cover the line especially if the Origin selected players for Melbourne end up missing out.

SUGGESTED BET:

Knights +18.5 at $1.90

Warriors vs. Panthers

July 18th

Penrith has only dropped two games this season but has not been at its absolute best over the last month.

The Panthers clung on for a one-point win over Parramatta a fortnight ago and should come into this clash with New Zealand on fresh legs following the bye.

The Warriors can definitely provide a problem for Ivan Cleary’s men despite a loss against Cronulla leading into this fixture.

SUGGESTED BET:

Warriors +8.5 at $1.90

Broncos vs. Tigers

July 18th

Brisbane plays host to Wests Tigers with both teams looking to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon.

A rare victory for Brisbane prior to its bye has it favourite for this clash against a Tigers team who was outclassed by South Sydney in Round 16.

The only knock on the Broncos is how poor it was against Wests Tigers last year but the surroundings of Suncorp Stadium as well as the form it showed against Cronulla should be enough to stay away from the bottom.

SUGGESTED BET:

Broncos -2.5 at $1.90

Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs

June 12th

Brisbane Broncos, a team really struggling that are low in confidence. They are second last on the Ladder, and will be making a tough trip to Gio Stadium to take on a strong Canberra Raiders outfit. Unfortunately, Broncos gives their fans very little to cheer about and the home side Raiders should take these kids to school and give them a lesson on the park.

With the Raiders well rested and ready to roar, this looks like an ideal game to boost their percentage and get them back on track. Tipping Canberra Raiders by 18 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Raiders -9.5 @ $1.89

Bulldogs v Dragons

July 18th

Cue the potential massacre.

South Sydney will have its eyes on a huge win against last-placed Canterbury in a bid to make up the ground on the top two.

It was 38-0 result earlier this season in favour of the Rabbitohs as Adam Reynolds led the line with 18 points which included a try and seven out of seven try conversions.

Canterbury would not only need the wheels to fall off Souths to win this but divine intervention from above.

Even though it pushed Sydney all the way last week, it’s impossible to see how this is anything but a huge win to the Rabbitohs.

SUGGESTED BET:

Rabbitohs -23.5 at $1.90
