Fortune Seeker is set to run a peak career rating after a dogged effort at Warwick Farm when resuming from a spell.
The three-year-old filly strode to the lead and kicked for home in the straight but was just wanting late in the race and knocked up to run third.
That run is going to bring her on beautifully for this 1400-metre event and the booking of Tim Clark should extract even more confidence from the punters.
The old adage of following ‘Gai Waterhouse up in distance’ is exactly what we see here as well.

Great House $3.1
Great House is a rock, hard fit horse who gets a recipe for success in this race.
Barrier, nice weight drop and Tommy Berry combine together to make this horse one of the best bets on the program at Randwick.
His stablemates So Wicked and Toryjoy should be able to give him a nice trail to follow into the race and with a handful of metropolitan Saturday efforts under his belt it will allow him to show his best.
He is yet to win at BM-88 grade this preparation, but he has the building blocks and starting price to suggest he can do so in this race.

Epic Dan tends to mix his form a bit given he is an old boy now at the ripe old age of eight.
But this veteran sprinter looks to be well placed in this race from barrier six.
He has to do all the donkey work last start and cart up the field to the two leaders who got away with an easy time of it up front.
He loves the sting out of the ground with his 38 starts on soft or heavy-going amassing eights wins and 10 minor placings.
He is a worth a speculative play at big odds.

This looks a fairly tricky quaddie given the track conditions and handicap races more often than not throw up left of field results.
The favourite in race nine is the one we will risk in the third leg as well as the favourite in the last.
